Position Description

This role to support manufacturing engineering activities relating to preparation of routing documents and CNC programs, facility maintenance and implementing maintenance and upgrading programs for the machinery, equipment and tooling to ensure in acceptable working condition while strictly adhere to the Safety, Health and Environment requirements.

Position Requirements

  • To prepare and generate accurate and cost effective routing documents and/or machining planning including CNC programming to ensure accurate manufacturing process with optimal waste minimization.

  • To perform troubleshooting, analyzing, maintaining, upgrading, modifying, repairing and calibration of machinery, equipment and tooling to ensure optimal productivity and reliability in working with Production team

  • To deliver technical expertise and support to the production line to ensure machines are always in working condition and fit to use.

  • To arrange setup for mechanical and electrical maintenance contracts and other engineering services fro third party suppliers for the machinery and equipment.

  • To work closely with vendors for new tools, fixtures, machinery, equipment and plant setup to ensure testing and commissioning are carried out timely and satisfactorily and to prepare work instructions for the operations. Work with machinists.

  • To support service and manufacturing team in designing and fabrication of assembly tools and fixtures.

  • To assist Safety, Health and Environmental matters as required including developing and implementing Safety Plans and Risk Management Program to risks associated with manufacturing process and facility setup are managed to an acceptable minimum.

  • To support production team in conduct training certification for machinists.


  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronic Engineering

  • Technical school graduates with manufacturing expertise and experience will be considered

  • Well versed with hands on manufacturing with CNC and/or manual machines as well as General Machining operation

  • Maintenance experience and working knowledge on CNC programming and set up would be preferred.

  • Good knowledge of modern CNC machining techniques, CAM or Esprit would be an added advantage.

  • Understanding of industrial QA program preferred Skill sets

  • Competence in AutoCAD 2D or 3D would be an added advantage

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skill

  • Proficient in technical writing and MS Office applications.

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skill.

  • Team player, self-motivated and innovative.

  • Must able to work with sense of urgency and ad-hoc basis when required.
