Position Description:

  • Manage and execute customer orders efficiently and timely from receipt to shipment

  • Support pre-award and post-shipment activities as necessary

  • Act as primary point of contact responsible to customers for order execution

  • Manage communication with customers in a timely, professional and clear manner

  • Ensure order specifications are thoroughly reviewed, including contractual requirements, scope of supply, and delivery expectations

  • Ensure discrepancies between sales, the customer and order are resolved and mitigate impact throughout the order

  • Work with other disciplines to ensure a successful project execution

  • Lead internal project status reviews

  • Create and update project plans and progress reports

  • Coordinate with other departments and vendors to ensure that schedule requirements are met

  • Communicate effectively with sales, application engineering, planning, purchasing, and operations to ensure product ships as ordered and on-time

  • Identify potential obstacles, risks and resource constraints

  • Prepare recovery and contingency plans to meet budget and schedule targets

  • Manage changes to project scope, project schedule, and project costs

  • Host and manage customers, inspectors and expeditors

  • Manage documentation submittals to the customer

  • Monitor documentation status and expedite responsible parties

Position Requirements:

  • B.S. / B.A. degree required

  • 3+ years of Project Management experience required

  • 3+ years of experience in an industrial engineered product environment

  • Ability to manage multiple projects (orders) simultaneously

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, writing and organizational skills; technical aptitude, and attention to detail

  • Ability to operate within and meet tight deadlines as required

  • Ability to work independently, take initiative and show a high sense of urgency

  • Ability to work in team oriented environment

  • Although minimal, ability to travel domestic and international

  • Embrace Continuous Improvement

Preferences:

  • B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering

  • Rotating equipment experience

  • PC Proficient (Microsoft Office; MS Project preferred)

  • PMP Certification
