Position Description

Purchasing:

  • Management of operative and strategic purchasing activities

  • Purchasing of all required supplies (direct and indirect materials,investments) while considering costs, delivery time and quality in accordance with the Flowserve Dortmund Quality Management System and Flowserve policies.

  • Negotiation of supplier contracts aimed at reducing costs and delivery times.

  • Development of suppliers in collaboration with Quality and Engineering.

  • Certification of suppliers.

  • Use of synergy effects in the Global Supply Chain.

  • Matrix report in the Global Supply Chain Organization.

  • Implementation of supplier visits.

Order- and Shop-Planning:

  • Management of planning activities along the entire value chain.

  • Scheduling of customer orders in collaboration with the operational departments to meet the required customer delivery dates and in alignment with internal and external capacities and availability of buy parts.

  • (Capacity analysis, leveling of production program, make-buy-decisions,& supplier selection and ordering, expediting of express orders)

  • Continuous supervision and creation of the production program

  • Responsibility and supervision/monitoring of the Oracle-MRP planning module

  • Coordination and further development of supply from Flowserve Olomouc (CZ).

Inventory:

  • Reporting line to Inventory Manager

CIP Responsibility:

  • Responsibility for the Supply Chain KPIs (Planning, Purchasing,Inventory) along the entire value chain.

  • Identifying improvement opportunities.

  • Development and implementation of sustainable process improvements internally and with suppliers.

EMA Oracle PTP Key User:

  • Advanced development of existing processes.

  • Drafting and implementation of changes in collaboration with the Oracle EMA locations and IT Oracle.

Import Compliance Coordinator (ICC):

  • Contact for Import Compliance and interface with the Corporate Trade Compliance Team (TCT).

  • Coordination of the development and introduction of import-related processes in cooperation with the groups responsible for the processes.

  • Conduct of the internal import compliance audits.

  • Definition of the customs tariff in collaboration with Shipping and Engineering.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master Degree (or equivalent)

  • Several years of experience in team-oriented management

  • Extensive professional experience in supply chain oriented Project purchasing, order- and shop-planning

  • S everal years of professional experience in an industrial production environment

  • Experience in the operative use of Lean Manufacturing and Lean Six Sigma

  • Enthusiasm, resilience, flexibility and a high level of dynamism

  • Very good written and spoken English and German

  • Very good user knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint

  • Extensive experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, etc.

  • A "hands-on" mentality

  • Experience in international communication

and various cultural behavior/communication models

  • Experience with matrix hierarchies

  • Willingness to travel
