Flowserve’s Aftermarket Services and Solutions (AMSS) platform, through its presence of 180+ QRC’s (quick response centers) and seals/parts manufacturing centers, provides aftermarket services for pumps, seals and rotating equipment. This position reports to the Etten-Leur Parts Commercial Operations Supervisor.
The Parts Specialist Commercial Operations in our After Market Services & Solutions department is a key position with a variety of challenging and interesting responsibilities. You will have an important role in turning proposals into valuable assignments. But you will also be key in the transfer of remote sites / hubs to Etten-Leur or to Commercial Operations processes. You will use pre-defined kpi’s to ensure our customers won’t be negatively impacted by the transfer. You will have plenty of career opportunities both in- and outside of the parts department to further develop and elaborate your skill sets.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales or equivalent;
Up to 8 years of experience in a similar position (associate to senior level);
Ability to create detailed cost price proposals for large, complex, high value parts;
Excellent organizational and time management skills (deadlines);
Strong problem solving skills, able to work independently and be a team player with international mindset and approach;
Customer focused and driven for results in a fast paced environment;
Ability to multi task efficiently and set priorities in a fast paced environment;
Attention to detail and process oriented mindset with mechanical aptitude;
Excellent interpersonal skills;
Excellent communication skills, both in writing and speech;
English proficiency (additional language other than native is a plus);
Excellent understanding of life cycle cost principles and the ability to create value added proposals;
Able to work in matrix/direct reporting structure;
Proficiency in Microsoft package (Excel, Power Point).
Process all requests for quotations and generate high quality, on time, value priced part proposals in different categories to facilitate Order Fulfillment, taking in consideration all customer specifications and documents;
Lead all coordination efforts on applicable aftermarket quotes while ensuring close collaboration and communication with all applicable stakeholders;
Facilitate and coordinate the integration of remote hubs within the Etten-Leur Parts Com. Ops. Team; this includes, but is not limited to training, systems alignment, act as a reference leader both for remote quoting resources as well for regional and global teams;
Support the implementation of regional parts or sales strategies, tools and processes to meet continuous growth expectations, with regards to the products that are being subject to the transfer activity;
Collect and publish kpi’s that serve to monitor and drive effectiveness of product transfer while supporting its growth and required corrective actions; the purpose of these kpi’s is to ensure responsiveness towards the customer during the transfer;
Identify initiatives through utilization of data management and market intelligence;
Manage and monitor the proposal throughout the entire bid cycle, including updating and maintaining designated workload management tool, while monitoring the hit-rate is optimized.
