Position Description

The Senior HR Professional is responsible for the regional and local delivery and execution of HR programs and policies as well as providing day to day HR support for people managers. The Senior HR Professional will be working closely with Centers of expertise and Regional Service Delivery. Professional Services contributes to resolution of issues beyond Tier 1 and Tier 2 support, which require professional-level consulting and decision making skills. They also collaborate with HR Business Partners to ensure workforce planning and human capital management initiatives specific to a platform or business unit are deployed locally. The Senior HR Professional will be the local contact person for the works council. The Senior HR Professional will be responsible for his/her own client portfolio. This job requires a pro-active personality; someone who thinks two steps ahead and who is self-confident to initiate action. We are at the lookout for a person that can work independently and who knows how to obtain his/her place in the team and organization. Flowserve is an international manufacturing company (matrix). As a Senior HR Professional you are very confident in such environment.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resource management or related;

  • 8 to 10 years of experience and knowledge in above accountabilities;

  • Experienced in a manufacturing, technology or logistics environment;

  • Experienced in dealing with works councils;

  • Demonstrates understanding of HR practices and policies, and that of nuances and/or legal restrictions with site level;

  • Ability to understand the need for change and adapt to change;

  • Displays a high energy level and sense of urgency for getting things accomplished; shows a bias towards action;

  • Able to make sense of issues, identify and solve problems;

  • Able to convince others on proposed course of action;

  • Utilizing PC-based tools to extract and analyze data, and make/present data-based recommendations to stakeholders.

Preferences

  • HR Process/Practice Leader: Partner with people leaders and employees to fully implement Regional and Global HR practices and policy to ensure Flowserve’s values are maintained and HR strategy is advanced;

  • Talent Acquirer: Execute talent acquisition strategies/processes to meet needs of supported operations;

  • Talent Developer: Provide professional-level training and coaching to individuals and teams using developed FLS processes and tools;

  • Management Coach: Coach and advise people leaders supported in daily application and development of leadership competence required to effectively manage their direct reports and teams;

  • Works council: be the local go to person for the works council. We are looking for candidates with this specific experience.
