Demonstrates a good working knowledge of machine equipment functions and servicing, including, but not limited to the following equipment: manual lathes, milling machines, vertical turret lathes.
Must be able to set-up and run complete parts from beginning to end. This must be completed in a fast paced, deadline oriented environment.
Demonstrates working knowledge of the process flow of parts through the manufacturing/repair process. This includes, but is not limited to the following:
-Ability to understand blueprints and interpret relevant information necessary to produce a part from raw stock
-Ability to efficiently analyze and push work through an established production cell
Displays a thorough understanding of the daily accountability process. Ensures that individual performance supports the QRC's efforts at maintaining performance standards in the areas of safety, cost of scrap/rework, on time performance, direct labor hours, manufacturing dollars per hour and overtime dollars per day.
Demonstrates a good working knowledge of machine tooling applications and servicing. Works closely with other machinists to provide technical assistance to tooling related issues.
Demonstrates working knowledge of processes necessary to complete all assigned tasks within the production schedule
Demonstrates advanced ability to communicate all manufacturing processes to peers and supervisors
Capable of communicating suspected equipment or tool failure in a timely manner in order to minimize down time in the production area
Demonstrates a thorough understanding of inspection equipment, their functions and uses in order to ensure that all manufactured parts are machined within tolerance limitations
Supports and participates in the Continuous Improvement process at the facility
The ideal candidate will need to be able to perform the following general tasks in order to be successful in this position.
Understand the production schedule as communicated by the shift supervisor
Interpret the drawings provided in order to manufacture the product
Follow and sign off on the provided production router for the product in order to ensure quality and procedural compliance
The candidate must have the flexibility to work necessary overtime and change shift time in order to meet customer demand
May need to work up to 7 days per week for an extended period of time as well as occasional travel
Candidate must have minimum of five (5) years + experience in the field
High School Diploma of GED is required
Good verbal and written communication skills
