Review written specifications and process/application parameters.
Write equipment/component RFQ's to obtain vendor's quotes.
Select appropriate equipment considering technical and economic issues.
Interface with product design group to prepare engineering drawings
Provide designer with B.O.M., system requirements and component details.
Provide TECHNICAL engineering details to customer.
Review and approve all drawings and final B.O.M's
Release product to manufacture and support fabrication with assistance when necessary.
Review system order status in weekly meetings and coordinate action to assure timely shipment.
Review assembled system and perform inspection.
Be available to assist system installation and start-up as required.
Facilitate "kick-off" of project meetings as required.
Facilitate project status meetings as required.
Utilize project milestone/scheduling tools to ensure acknowledged delivery date is accomplished.
Submit final documentation to Document Control Clerk, for distribution to customer.
Provide technical assistance to the field (answer customer and distributor questions regarding engineering details; assist with system implementation and start-up questions.
Work with other departments to develop tools such as literature, product pricing and new product design to improve group efficiency and product quality for special projects.
Develop Operations/Control Narratives and IOM manuals for end user
Develop, review, approve electrical designs and detail drawings, and BOMs
Four year Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required. Mechanical or Chemical Engineering is preferred
P. Eng required (or eligible with PEO)
Minimum 5+ years practical experience pumping systems is required
Must have 3+ years of project engineering/management experience and excellent oral and written communication skills
Experience working with EPC companies is required
Comprehension of technical and economic aspects of system components. (Pumps, exchangers, ejectors, valves, piping, controls, vessels, materials).
Fluid mechanics and flow of fluids on pipelines.
Working knowledge of industry standards such as ASME code, ANSI B31.3, ASTM specifications, etc.
Working knowledge of Engineering Contracts, approval and submissions, engineering documentation and other related aspects to custom engineered products.
Working knowledge of Oil and Gas/Petrochemical and associated industries and practices
Excellent understanding of electrical controls and instrumentation for various installations and electrical areas. Class 1, Div 1, Div 2 and non-hazardous areas.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and Microsoft Visio
Professional Engineer (P.Eng) preferred or equivalent work experience
Experience with SAP preferred
