We are currently seeking a qualified QA Engineer.

Responsible for supporting the quality of engineered system projects. This will include the review of Project Specific Customer Specifications as they relate to Quality Requirements. Non Destructive testing (RT, MT, PT, HT, VT), as well as PMI. The ability to interpret and summarize these specifications and communicate them to project Engineering, Purchasing and production. Welding related experience should include Visual Weld Inspection as a minimum and the knowledge of welding requirements for meeting applicable codes such as API, ASME, B31.1, & B31.3, ASME Section IX & ASME Section VIII. Also responsible for customer quality assurance details involving direct customer contact, quality planning, and overall quality system. Promote total quality, continuous improvement and overall quality vision.

Position Requirements:

Bachelors in Engineering required.

10-15 years of experience related to the Quality of Process Related Equipment, Manufacturing and Fabrication is required

The candidate must have knowledge and experience related to the Quality and Fabrication of process related components such as Pumps, Compressors, Baseplates, Tanks, Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Condensers and other related components such as Seal Pots, Instrumentation and piping.

The candidate must have knowledge and experience related to Non Destructive Examination techniques and the quality requirements for process related components, RT, PT, MT, VT, HT, PWHT, PMI etc.

The candidate must have knowledge and experience of the applicable codes related to process components such as API, ASME Section VIII-Pressure Vessels, ASME Section IX-Welding, ASME Section II-Materials, ASME Section B31.1-Power Piping, ASME Section B31.3-Process Piping. AWS D1.1-Structural, and Welding Processes, Procedures and Qualifications.

An emphasis will be placed on candidates having knowledge, experience and the ability to read and interpret customer specifications related to the Quality of process related components, with respect to Fabrication, NDE, and applicable code requirements. The ability to summarize these details and apply them to Inspection and Test Plans and communicate with Purchasing, Production and Engineering departments as required.

The candidate must have knowledge and experience related to the traceability of materials and related documents such as CMTR’s, Code Calculations, U-Forms, Nameplates, C of C’s, Various Certificates, Heat Number tracing and Weld Maps.

The candidate must have knowledge and experience related to dimensional inspection, the tools and techniques required to perform dimensional inspection tasks inside the plant and at Vendor locations, complete with report writing capabilities.

The candidate must be willing to travel if required, to Vendor locations for various inspections and audits of documents and fabricated components.

The candidate must have knowledge and experience related to SAP computer system and general computer skills in Word and Excel etc.

Knowledge of the ISO Quality Management System is also required.

Preferences:

Certifications in areas related to Welding, and NDE would be beneficial.

Professional Engineer is preferred.
