We are currently seeking a qualified Quality Technician

Responsible for supporting the quality of engineered system projects. This will include the review of Project Specific Customer Specifications as they relate to Quality Requirements. Non Destructive testing (RT, MT, PT, HT, VT), as well as PMI. The ability to interpret and summarize these specifications and communicate them to project Engineering, Purchasing and production. Welding related experience should include Visual Weld Inspection as a minimum and the knowledge of welding requirements for meeting applicable codes such as API, ASME, B31.1, & B31.3, ASME Section IX & ASME Section VIII. Also responsible for customer quality assurance details involving direct customer contact, quality planning, and overall quality system. Promote total quality, continuous improvement and overall quality vision.

Position Requirements:

Technical Degree or Diploma, and Related Certifications required

Quality Technician with 5+ years of experience related to the Quality of Process Related Equipment, Manufacturing and Fabrication.

The candidate must be self motivated and be able to work with limited supervision.

The candidate must be able to lead meetings with Engineering, Purchasing and Production.

The candidate must be familiar with fabrication processes for items such as Pumps, Compressors, Baseplates, Tanks, Heat Exchangers etc. and all production techniques Such as machining, welding and fabrication.

The candidate must be familiar with Non Destructive Examination methods such as RT, PT, MT, VT, HT, PWHT, PMI and associated acceptance criteria.

The candidate must be familiar with applicable codes such as API, ASME Section VIII-Pressure Vessels, ASME Section IX-Welding, ASME Section II-Materials, ASME Section, ASME Section B31.3-Process Piping.

The ability to create, read and manage Inspection and Test Plans.

The ability to manage and control Vendor documents, ensuring that they are accurate and complete per the ITP and customer requirements.

The candidate must be familiar with traceability of materials and related documents such as CMTR’s, Code Calculations, U-Forms etc.

Preferences:

Certifications related to welding, and NDE and related technical education would be beneficial.
