Position Description:

This position is the General Manager of a manufacturing in Hastings, NE. The General Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the facility's operations including safety, full Profit & Loss, quality and on-time performance.

Provide leadership and direction to the business to ensure the annual business plan, including P&L and balance sheet objectives, for the division are achieved.

• Actively partner with leadership, thereby having a strong influence on the operations and strategy of the team.

•Establish and lead a culture focused on Safety through the execution of safety planning and rigorous use of safety metrics.

•Through partnership with the outside sales group both influence and enable bookings growth.

• Develop and implement capital spending plans that meet the ongoing needs of the business for facilities, equipment and productivity improvements.

• Develop and implement process improvements, which continuously improve on-time delivery, reduce operating and product costs and reduce product lead times.

• Establish and maintain a control environment that meets or exceeds Sarbanes Oxley requirements, US and in-country laws and regulations and meets or exceeds the company’s ethical standards.

• Interface with customers, suppliers and internal teams to raise the bar in supply chain management by transforming the company’s supply chain and delivery capabilities from a product-driven to a service-driven approach.

Position Requirements:

• Minimum of eight years management

experience in a manufacturing environment

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or

Engineering

• Extensive product and process

knowledge in rotating equipment

• Working level of market knowledge

(agricultural, water, general industrial)

• $25-75M+ P&L experience is needed

• Plant Management experience with

125+ employees

• Demonstrated experience with low

cost sourcing

• Proven record of safety leadership

and execution, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

• Demonstrated skills in managing

and developing personnel. Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead

people in a functional organization in a matrix environment.

• Financial and cost management

acumen. Ability to deliver financial results through the understanding and

deployment of primary financial and cost variables in a manufacturing

environment.

• Experience in continuous

improvement process and tools and familiarity with Lean Manufacturing practices

is preferred.

• Solid business experience and

skills with a proven record achieving excellent results

Preferences:

• MBA is desired

• Experience in supply chain,

operations, purchasing, planning, materials management, customer Service,

inside sales (quotes), engineering, product management and field services is

preferred.
