Position Description

Flowserve is seeking a knowledgeable, high-impact reliability leader to drive the performance and growth of our LifeCycle Advantage™ (LCA) programs around the globe. The Global LCA Performance Manager will ensure that Flowserve’s technical, operational, and sales functions are supporting performance agreements, resulting in operational efficiencies, streamlined inventories, and extended equipment life for our customers. The Manager will assume leadership for developing, promoting, and administering best practices for the world-class execution of our LCA programs, On-Line Assurance programs, and performance contracts. The candidate can be located anywhere; Houston is most advantageous.

  • Document, monitor, and take action to improve the technical and financial health of all existing alliances and performance contracts.

  • Collaborate with regional sales, administration managers, and operations personnel to ensure that Flowserve meets its commitments to its performance agreement clients.

  • Establish processes and procedures for new LCA programs, such as portal-supported bad actor analyses and energy management. Support these programs through the start-up phase.

  • Evaluate current alliance agreements and performance contracts to ensure that they are financially sound, supporting market-share, revenue, and profitability growth initiatives.

  • Establish and implement competency expectations for both on-site application engineers and for regional reliability engineers.

  • Develop, maintain, and publicize policy and procedure guides for alliances, performance contracts, and on-line assurance programs to standardize best practices.

  • Stay informed about the industry, competition, current technologies to position Flowserve for success. Communicate with Flowserve management about changing market conditions.

  • Manage expenses and maintain a departmental budget within allocated plan in support of the AMSS P&L.

  • Lead wisely and with commitment, discipline, and passion, while exhibiting exemplary behaviors at all times. Serve as an advocate for integrity and ethics while promoting trust and setting a positive leadership example that energizes others about the future and engages employees.

Position Requirements

  • B.S.in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Assurance, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent required. Coursework in management and finance valued.

  • 10 years of experience in end-user or customer-facing positions, preferably in the aftermarket for pumps and mechanical seals.

  • Must have managerial experience, or experience managing initiatives through the work of matrixed reports, with a proven record of encouraging a team oriented processes, collaboration, and communication.

  • Deep in the knowledge of RCM principles, with CMRP certificate highly desired.

  • Advanced knowledge of the design operational requirements of rotating pumps, mechanical seals, related equipment, and systems required.

  • Financial acumen to discuss business decisions in terms of return on investment, and the ability to understand and communicate operational and financial metrics.

  • Highly organized with proven leadership skills and the ability to achieve objectives.

  • Must communicate with positive impact. Project a strong customer focus. Skilled at product demonstrations, presentations, and business writing.

  • Demonstrated skills in leading meetings, including setting agendas, preparing, facilitating discussions, and assigning follow-up activities.

  • Must have a personal style that is collaborative, with the ability to build relationships, discuss problems, and resolve conflict to promote teamwork and positive relationships

  • Must be computer savvy and use available technologies to manage daily activities. Strong Microsoft Office skills required.

  • Moderate travel will be required, including international travel.

  • Some physical activity required (e.g., walking large customer industrial sites, and ascending/descending ladders and staircases in multi-story facilities).
