Position Description

Engineering Interns are responsible for providing engineering support on all aspects of product development efforts, custom engineered seals, operations, and quality.


  • Support operations, quality, and other customers as necessary to meet their objectives and to achieve on time delivery goals.

  • Develop broad engineering skills working through formal and informal training programs

  • Prepare technical reports of appropriate depth and detail to document product design development, seal failure analysis, and laboratory and field testing programs.

  • Participate in interdepartmental activities to ensure that concurrent engineering techniques and best practice processes are effectively implemented throughout the engineering group.

  • Review of design for manufacturability and design cost issues

  • Development and implementation of test programs

  • Documentation of product development efforts and application guidelines

  • Give direction and support to designers who support engineering and product development efforts.

Position Requirements

  • Actively pursuing BSME degree with minimum of Junior level status.

  • Computer proficiency: Microsoft Office, FEA, AutoCAD, and Autodesk Inventor experience.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work well in a team –oriented environment.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.


  • Knowledge of mechanical seal and rotating equipment helpful – preference
