Position Description

Sterling Fluid Systems (UK) Limited, part of the Flowserve Group of Companies are looking to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant, to enhance the finance function. Working as part of a US owned company you will have a varied role covering all aspects of finance, reporting and compliance.

The role includes:

  • Preparation of monthly Management Accounts within the agreed target dates

  • Variance Analysis and commentary

  • Review and production of Month end journals – including Accruals, Prepayments

  • Account Reconciliations

  • Controlling income and expenditure

  • Budget and Forecast preparation

  • Costing and absorption rate calculation

  • Balance sheet review / reconciliation and analysis

  • Cash flow management

  • Capital projects

  • Prepare information for Auditors

  • Integral role in further development, testing, and improvements to processes to ensure adequate controls are in place to meet audit and SOX requirements

  • Assist in preparation of statutory financial statements

  • Any other ad hoc duties where required

Position Requirements

  • Significant, demonstrable experience of preparing management accounts is an essential requirement for this role.

  • AAT qualified, or in the final stages of qualification with significant experience.

Preferences

Experience of SAP would be desirable
