Position Description

As part of our strategy for growth we are seeking to add a Sales Support Representative in our Manchester spare parts team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing customer orders and preparing quotations offering value added solutions to our customers. Key accountabilities are:

  • Focus efforts on both our external and internal customers to insure they view and measure our organization as responsive, reliable, consistent and helpful in offering value-added solutions and solving their problems on each quotation opportunity presented to us. Support external Sales Engineers and Distributer in expansion of our customer and product base in view of Division plans. · Prepare clear and concise spare parts quotations including service in accordance with customer requirements and request dates. Work closely with FLS organization to meet customer expectations.

  • Order transfer files to be submitted in a timely manner to be complete and correct. Assist in resolving any issues to insure proper order entry

  • Manage the administrative requirements of the business to insure compliance with the departmental expense budget and to all related FLS policies including Export Compliance, FCPA, the use of FLS standards, worldwide T&C’s, travel request approval process, commercial terms and other similar initiatives as directed by Flowserve IPO management.

-Focus on the goals of the Commercial Operations Group.

-Record required data for business analysis and process improvement

  • Carry out comprehensive and accurate commercial and technical review of enquiry/order terms and specifications to ensure customer technical and commercial requirements are met whilst remaining in line with company procedures and policies.

  • Respond to customer enquiries in a knowledgeable and professional manner, ensuring deadlines and customer requirements are met.

  • A quick response time of 24 to 48 hours is to be maintained for non-contract enquiries, with customer to be informed of circumstances where a longer response time may be required.

  • Ensure sales order entry (including contract amendments) is in line with our procedures and ensure sufficient data is entered to provide full details to other departments.

  • Perform Sales Contract Management to provide on time dispatch of goods and related documentation without technical/commercial problems and “closed up” within 1 month where practical. This includes liaison/coordination with customers, suppliers, internal suppliers/customers, expeditors and inspectors.

  • COMPLIANCE: Complete all mandatory training and participate in compliance initiatives communicated either locally or globally within the timeframes set.

Position Requirements

· Attention to detail and process oriented mindset with mechanical aptitude.

· Preferably demonstrate a general understanding of pump/rotating equipment bill of materials and types and a clear understanding of sectional arrangement drawings and pump/rotating equipment parts lists.

· Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

· Excellent organizational skills.

· Demonstrate a working style which is team oriented and values communication, participation and involvement of others.

· Have a high standard of written and spoken English as well as strong PC skills and experience with Microsoft Office tools.

Preferences

Possess a minimum of 3 years experience gained in a technical spare parts environment.

Preferable have experience with rotating equipment.

Be confident with bills of materials, order processing and customer management.

Demonstrate technical capabilities to support customer quotations and order management

Have a basic understanding of commercial terms and conditions.
