The Precision Assembler is responsible for the assembly and testing of new
Flowserve valve/actuator assemblies and the repair of Flowserve valve/actuator
assemblies per Flowserve specifications. The Precision Assembler will also be
responsible for the repair all 3rd party (non-Flowserve valves) as required and
to perform or assist with field service activities at customer sites when
Perform diagnostic tests on Flowserve digital equipment as required using “Valvesight” test
equipment. Interpret test data and graphs and resolve any issues that may
Perform leak tests, hydro-tests and other required tests on all assembled products.
Prepare and paint valve components and assemblies using spray equipment.
Read and follow all directions on given products and projects, including a simple schematic.
Perform final inspections on all work completed and ensure secondary inspection has
been completed and documented.
Maintain “6S” at all times in immediate work area, all production equipment, and all
production areas inside and outside of the facility.
Maintain current ISTC, TWIC and all required site specific training at all times.
Maintain positive employee relations within the facility by being visible and
interacting with multiple levels of personnel. Align your individual efforts to that of the larger operations objectives.
Participate in and be an active member on the Site Safety Committee, attend monthly safety
meetings, and be an active participant in weekly tool box safety meeting.
Complete all required safety, HR, quality and other training by the due date throughout
Follow “Returned Goods” procedure at all times. Follow all established work rules,
safety rules, and follow “On-Call” schedule at all times.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or abilities required.
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment, experience in control valve, valve automation, and instrumentation.
Must possess a valid driver license.
Required to supply your own tools to perform job tasks. General heavy duty and pneumatic tools are provided by the company.
Ability to operate hand power tools and measurement tools.
Must be willing to work overtime hours when required, to include holidays and weekends.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to operate fork lift and complete certification.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to read/interpret pneumatic schematics and install tubing correctly.
Demonstrate a high level of mechanical ability.
Must have or be able to obtain TWIC credentials within 60 days.
Experience working in a valve service and/or manufacturing facility.
