Position Description:

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and executing assigned projects, consistent with the strategy of the PMO and within the resource capability of the company. The Project Manager shall advise management, leadership and/or business executives about the status and resource loading of assigned projects across the company. The Project Manager will plan, direct, and ensure the successful outcome of projects utilizing the assigned project teams, as well as standards, practices, and toolsets established within the PMO. The position shall support the efforts of the PM Manager and PMO in identifying, evaluating and developing project management methods and procedures that are efficient, effective and meet good business practice, while maintaining compliance with Flowserve policies regarding the execution and oversight of projects.

For Project Execution, the Project Manager is the main responsible of the work order or project from Order Entry until equipment delivery, finalization of project required field or training services and cash collection. Is the main contact between the factory, Sales offices, Customer Services Offices, the Client and the End User.

Job Expectations:

Demonstrate ownership and accountability for total project execution performance & safety (project initiation to project completion) on all assigned projects.

Drive improved customer relationships through creating a work environment that is free of unfavorable circumstances or perceptions for either party that meets or exceeds performance expectations of the customer.

Provide effective stewardship of the financial expectations on each assigned project to:

a) produce the gross margin that meets or exceeds the Sales approved criteria

b) meet the total cash flow & working capital plan for the project

c) c) minimize the total COPQ.

Ensure a “clean order” before commencement of work on an assigned project and utilize the change management system to control the scope of work and associated cost, throughout the life of the project.

Prepare a detailed schedule at the commencement of each assigned project, maintain an updated schedule throughout the life of the project, and achieve a 95% or better compliance with all major milestones within the schedule.

Provide all product deliverables as defined by the Customer’s order meeting OTD and quality requirements including supplier integration.

Manage Document Control for OTD of all documents throughout the life of the project with target of zero impact to shipping deliverables, invoicing and progress payments.

Execute each assigned project with 100% compliance with the established Local and Global Procedures.

Proactively lead the Monthly Project Status Reporting (including effective forecasts of labor and cost) using the Global Standards on all assigned projects and at all levels of reporting within Flowserve.
