This is an entry-level position in the Assembly Department. The employee will build and test automatic control valves and their components to customer specifications. Requirement of supplying his/her own tools to perform daily task (basic pneumatic tools supplied by Flowserve FCD).
Know and understand all related assembly SPP’s and maintenance bulletins that pertain to
mark 1 up to 6 inch,
All Valtek actuators.
Proper installation of valve accessories
perform testing where capable skills have been developed
Participate in CIP activities as asked/needed and comply with all Flowserve policies and procedures
May be required to work directly with customers.
Willing to work overtime as required
Willing to move to other areas as needed
High School diploma or GED equivalent, and/or training, mechanical abilities
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to convert one type of measure into another.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Healthy mechanical aptitude with the ability to follow step by step instructions.

Beneficial Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to read wiring and tubing schematics, dimensional drawings. Able to use pneumatic and hydraulic tools and presses.
