Position Description

The Sales Engineer position is responsible for the following:

  • Responsible for the specification and sale of Nordstrom lubricated plug valves and All Valbart products

  • Manage a Distributor channel to market for the Nordstrom and Valbart products

  • Secure orders from new and existing customers for Flowserve products (valves) for End Users

  • Responsible for targeted growth opportunities in all market segments

  • Responsibility to submit business reports including weekly territory development reports and marketing plans for their territory, which includes: Northern Texas, Dallas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas

Position Requirements

  • 4-year college degree plus strong technical background

  • Ability to manage manufacturer representative, distributor and/or direct sales channel for the Valbart products

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills

  • Self-starter with strong management skills

  • Experience in selling and interacting at all decision making levels

  • Experience in working with and managing stocking distribution network

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and develop growth within a multi-million dollar sales territory

Preferences

  • Previous technical valve & actuation end user sales experience preferred within Natural Gas utilities, transmission, storage, compression facilities and industrial markets is a plus
