This position is the General Manager of a manufacturing facility within the Asia Pacific Operation of Flowserve Corporation. The General Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the facility's operations including the full Profit & Loss. Total revenue and headcount will vary by facility.
• A university degree is required, preferably in Business Administration or Engineering • Minimum of eight (8) years management experience. • Extensive product and process knowledge of rotating equipment with working level of local market knowledge (chemical, water, power, oil & gas, general industrial). • Demonstrated skills in managing and developing personnel. Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead people in a functional organization in a matrix environment. • Financial and cost management acumen. Ability to deliver financial results through the understanding and deployment of primary financial and cost variables in a manufacturing environment. • Strong business acumen and business management capability • Excellent analytical and strategic skills. Good business judgment and problem solving skills with solid economic, industry and competitive landscape insight. • Builds organizations that effectively adapt and develop world-class practices from inside or outside the industry to create powerful competitive advantage. • Establishes conditions systematically for high performance teamwork based on the requirements of the situation. • An individual of strong values with the highest levels of integrity and ethics. • Excellent relationship building skills.
• Provide leadership and direction to the business to ensure the annual business plan, including P&L and balance sheet objectives, for the division are achieved. • Establish and lead a culture focused on Safety through the execution of safety planning and rigorous use of safety metrics. • Through partnership with the outside sales group both influence and enable bookings growth. • Develop and implement capital spending plans that meet the ongoing needs of the business for facilities, equipment and productivity improvements. • Attract, identify, develop and retain organization/department talent in an ongoing effort to support the talent management philosophy. This includes all facets of talent acquisition, performance management, succession planning, and employee learning and development. • Develop and implement process improvements, which continuously improve on-time delivery, reduce operating and product costs and reduce product lead times. • Drive growth in new geographic markets while growing market share in our traditional markets. Implement/deploy sales growth initiatives, marketing strategies and product enhancements while continuing to deliver existing products to new market areas.
