Position Requirements:

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Work alongside the regional sales leader and sales team to develop an annual strategic sales plan consistent with FSG strategic objectives and market opportunities, and implement it to meet or exceed the sales plan

  2. Provide applications and product training to the End User Sales team to seek out incremental opportunities among their existing customer base

  3. Identify and prioritize a set of customers as key target accounts to proactively approach and develop to generate main source of bookings and growth on an annual basis, including plans for bridge into larger enterprise level sales opportunities.

  4. Work with consulting/engineering companies to favorably spec-in Flowserve products and offering as a vendor of choice.

  5. Work with End User Sales team to develop winning solutions and strategies to secure jobs.

  6. Support End User Sales as needed (and/or our Distribution Network) from initial opportunity development through proposal development to bookings.

  7. Make joint sales calls with End User Sales team to develop opportunities and/or conduct technical meetings to promote New Products and solutions.

  8. Support sales activities to ensure booking plans are met

  9. Collaborate with Product Management and OE & AM Commercial Operations to develop competitive solutions and proposal, set custom market level price models, discount policies, special commercial terms and conditions etc. to leverage “PRODUCTS/SERVICES” opportunities.

  10. Identify and develop new industrial applications and new customers in collaboration with Business Development teams

  11. Participate and support product management/marketing to re-define and/or develop “PRODUCTS/SERVICES” portfolio based on feedback from customers, FLS end-user sales, distributors and field selling experience

  12. Organize road shows and seminars for customers to promote Flowserve capabilities and seek to be their vendor/partner of choice.

  13. Identify major exhibitions in the territory to Marketing to promote Flowserve products and solutions

  14. Identify new distribution channels in conjunction with sales team and Distribution team to improve market coverage, customer reach and growth

  15. Support the Distribution team and End User Sales team to appoint new and dedicated distributors; provide on job training; review their business plan, sales targets, and performance against that plan

  16. Conduct regular job reviews with the End User Sales team to make sure that all opportunities are pursued and necessary focus and appropriate resources are allocated

  17. Provide regular business forecast and reports, market feedback, business, industry and competitor trends

  18. Drive NP growth initiatives as initiated by Senior Management

  19. Participate in the IPO S&OP and all necessary meetings and calls as may be required in support of the business.

  20. Regular travel as may be required to ensure success of the business

Preferences:

Role Requirements:

  1. Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Vacuum Technology.

  2. Extensive experience in industrial applications and processes.

  3. Established sales track record among industrial customers.

  4. Good communication and presentation skills.

  5. Good listener; resilient; energetic.

  6. A team-player with well-developed interpersonal skills.

  7. Fluent working knowledge of the English language, both verbally and in writing.

  8. Proven time management and organizational skills.

  9. IT literate – MS Office, including Excel, and computerized Sales systems.

  10. Ability to develop effective working relationships at all levels of the business.

  11. Ability and willingness to travel, primarily throughout the area of responsibility, is required.

Position Description:

The New Product Sales Specialist (NPSS) is responsible for leading the sales efforts on New Product (NP) opportunities and engaging and supporting the sales teams to promote and sell New Products and ultimately generate organic growth. The Sales Specialist will report directly into the New Product Sales Director and will be based in the region they are accountable for; working closely with both sales and local operations to ensure success.
