Position Description:

As a Mechanic, Pumps and Seals, you will manage disassembly, clean-up, inspection, and re-assembly of new and repaired seals. You will be responsible for receiving and properly tagging incoming products for repair. You will also complete associated paperwork and computer orders for each task. In this role, you will use hand tools, small power tools and other special equipment to perform work utilizing technical drawings along with verbal or written direction.

5:00am—5:30pm Saturday - Monday

Specific Location Information: Flowserve Baton Rouge

  • Close to HWY 61 and Interstate 10

  • Air-conditioned facility PPE Safety Equipment provided

  • Onsite break room

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of mechanical assembly work

  • Read, write, and interpret drawings, manuals, prints, and instructions

  • Follow all tagging procedures Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

  • Proficiency in ERP systems (PRMS, ORACLE or SAP)

  • Communicate findings to team and document in tracking (PRMS) system

  • Perform necessary cleaning and safety duties

  • Ability to work overtime as required

  • Daily use of torque tightening equipment

  • Ability to lift parts up to 50 pounds

  • Lifting, bending, twisting of shoulders and use of arms in an outreaching position

  • Standing and walking throughout the work area.
