As a System Integration Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring Flowserve IoT systems are successfully and correctly installed at customer field environments.
The role involves working with Flowserve engineering, operations and sales to become familiar with each system and performing site assessments to understand customer requirements and to conduct site demonstrations.
Communication of these requirements to operations and engineering personnel is key to ensuring the build and configuration of an appropriate system.
The System Integration Engineer is expected to travel to customer sites to supervise and assist with IoT products' installation and commissioning (including field sensors, support hardware and communications interfaces), field acceptance testing and customer training.
This role is also required to keep track of any open/unresolved items from field travel and coordinate internal resources to ensure completion of those items.
You will become part of our Gtec in Budapest an office with approximately 50 colleagues.

Responsibilities & Requirements: In addition, you
Supervise installation of edge devices and communication network (wireless or wired) to implement an end-to-end condition monitoring and predictive analytics system at industrial site (O&G, Chemicals, Water, Power, General Industry)
Site assessments of machinery (pump) systems, customers’ existing DCS, SCADA, Communication and Equipment data acquisition systems
Scope out jobs, selecting products and solutions KPI’s with Flowserve engineers and IT team
Work with CSOA to scope out jobs from a technical point of view and follow up on issued proposals
Completion of Insight cloud portal on boarding document and review of system scope after site assessment
Works with Flowserve Monitoring Center team for communications hardware and softwares pecification
Participate in Pre-testing of hardware and communication layers
Project execution planning and design workshops in person with key stakeholders
Drafts site implementation plans and gains approval from the end-user prior to site installation
Implement communications interfaces between field devices and Insight Portal or customer data system (eg. DCS) utilizing technologies such as Modbus over RS485, Modbus over TCP/IP and Ethernet
Conduct site acceptance testing to ensure complete system functionality in accordance with internal and customer standards
Provide technical system training to both internal and external customers
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in field environment or remotely, when required
Contribute to products and services development and implementation, maintaining detailed product knowledge including documentation, system components and architectures, Insight cloud portal capabilities and operation and training tools and programs

BSC or equivalent engineering degree, preferably in Electrical/Electronics Engineering and/or Systems Engineering
Experience with wireless communication protocols (previous experience on LoRaWAN is a plus)
Experience with IoT technologies (Microsoft Azure, OSI Soft, PTC, …)
Understanding of Basic System Programming
Experience with DCS Systems is a plus!
Understanding of Modbus Protocols, computer networking and Controller Modules like Lantronix, ProSoft, PLC Types etc
Understanding of RS-485 or 232, TCP/IP or TCP, Ethernet Communication
Experience with process instrumentation
Works with cross-functional teams (Sales, CSOA, Engineering, Operations, IT, R&D)to develop opportunities and drive actions
Ability to plan, drive and manage required actions in remote field environments
Capable to work effectively with high degrees of self-management making decisions around priorities
Ability to work closely with customers and is a good verbal and written communicator with a confident and positive manner
Have a high standard of written and spoken English
