Position Description:

As a Payment Supervisor in our Business Service Center in Debrecenyou lead the team that proposes and executes regular weekly payment runs,monthly payments and ad hoc urgent requests based on customer needs. In this leadership role, you lead and motivate people by setting a strong example ofdesired behavior to colleagues around you.

You are key in providing, as necessary, support to complicated requests to assure that supplier and site inquiries are handled on time. Your team is a group of 8-15 professionals, and you facilitate and motivate them to do their best work ever. One of the things you do to make that happen is contributing to and actively support the development of training plans for your team.

Our clients are divided in the EMEA and USA market, andthat’s why we ask you to be fluent in English, and speak an additional(European) language, such as German, French, Spanish or Dutch. We have only business-2-business (B2B) clients, and your team members work for a selected market or set of clients.

In addition, you:

  • Assure approvals policies are followed during the payment processes;

  • Support colleagues from all departments with complicated requests with regarding as they work cross-functionally with legacy site supply chain and others. Your objective is to assure end-to-end processes are effective within the assigned regions or sites and within our globally designed P2P processes;

  • Understand and provide mentorship on all issues that arise as a result of daily system or process problems. You engage management insignificant issues impacting payment processes;

  • Oversee the reconciliations of both proposed and final payment batches by developing audit and spot check verifications of entries and comparing system information to expected outcomes as described in the current process or in the new S/4 HANA standardized payment process;

  • You plan and manage workload to maintain steady and consistent (payment) processes and meet all agreed upon deadlines;

  • Ensure compliance with internal, SOX and local statutory laws and regulations. You demonstrate deep understanding of financial controlsfor local and SOX requirements.

  • We created an environment of collaboration, in which youwork with people from all over the organization. Amongst them are site-specific finance teams, procurement, the global transformation team and your fellow supervisor. Together, you facilitate the successful implementation of the new SAP 4 HANA system. We give you the opportunity to participate in, lead and own projects and develop people management skills.

Position Requirements:

You are our ideal colleague if you…

  • Have a minimum of four years of relevant experience andproven people management experience;

  • Have the required bachelor’s degree: a degree in finance orbusiness is preferred;

  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills inEnglish and any additional languages for the market or clients you will besupporting;

  • Master the payments process, and know how to conduct qualitychecks and do audits in the financial systems (which can be site specific ornew SAP ERP system where all locations will be transformed into);

  • Have validated knowledge and experience using ERP systems(such as Oracle, SAP);

  • Are comfortable with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Wordand PowerPoint.

  • Are naturally establishing and maintaining effective workrelationships with partners, which includes your team and the seniorleadership-team;

  • Have strong analytical, research and problem-solving skillsand the ability to quickly identify and resolve issues through root causeanalysis;

  • Are able to train and coach other team members: on theirwork, and also to provide mentorship in prioritization to your colleagues;

  • Have strong interpersonal and leadership skills to lead andmotive a team of 8-15 people.

  • You are a true leader: this position embraces everythingfrom developing training plans, to dealing with performance issues;

  • Have a continuous improvement mindset is and are driven torealize the best results (LEAN Six Sigma is preferred);

  • Have a strong sense of responsibility, and stay professionalin challenging situations;

  • Are willing to travel up to 10% of your time nationally andinternationally. Part of this, is travelling to Debrecen frequently formeetings with the transformation team.
