Mechanically inclined with a minimum of 1-2 years of work experience in an industrial setting, specific experience in pumps highly desired
Experienced in using precision measuring instruments, such as Micrometers, Verniers, Bore Gauges, Pressure Gauges, Meters, Dial Indicators, Rulers and Depth Gauges
Demonstrated track record of reliable, dependable work ethic with a personal commitment to quality workmanship
Show an attention to detail, a respect for processes & instructions customer-service, and be results-oriented mindset at all times
Standing for long times required, full range of movement required, frequent lifting with occasional lifting up to 50 pounds
Must be able to work overtime and weekends as required on short notice. Possibility of working 2 nd or 3 rd shift based on business needs.
Adhere to all Safety Procedures & Policy. Complete all Pure Safety and other safety training as required.

Flowserve is looking for an experienced repair mechanic to work on all processes related to disassembly and assembly of pumps and related equipment. This is role at our air-conditioned, clean, well-organized Manufacturing facility in Guelph Ontario.
Able to work alone and troubleshoot mechanical issues
New and repaired pump assembly, leak and pneumatic testing
Experience in disassembly, inspection, re-assembly and testing of repaired pump products in a rapid response, \"quick ship\" environment.
Read and follow accurately all routers, instructions, checklists and engineering drawings or blueprints during all processes
Inspect Pump and equipment, checking dimensions of all critical components.
Ensure components are clean and free from foreign material and replaces and repairs worn parts in Pump Assemblies Supplied standards.
Complete accurate, thorough inspection documentation, may include including photos and written descriptions of the wear and condition of components. Submit documentation for quotation.
Explain and discuss as needed the condition of all critical components of the pump or equipment
Collaborate with others, sharing information and resolving problems with others in the shop, supervisors, sales engineers, buyers, and planners.
Self-verify workmanship. Inspect all components for critical dimensions.
Complete accurate, thorough assembly documentation, including inspection records, photos, and customer-specific forms.
Tag, and prep the pump for shipment to the customer.
Act in a way that that encourages teambuilding, decision-making, problem solving, and continuous improvements.
Make regular process improvement suggestions; implement improvements after approval from manager.
Able to final test and hydro test all pumps
Ensure the quarterly equipment maintenance program is carried out
Complete a final inspection on all parts, stamp heat codes and part numbers in both the shop and Field.
Dismantle, clean, inspect, grinding, under filing, cleaning, sandblasting and assemble pumps and equipment following all safety requirements and meeting tight deadlines
Complete inspection reports to a high quality, highlighting any adverse running conditions that could impact pump reliability
Forklift certification desirable
Rigging experience is an asset.
Industrial Equipment Installation, commissioning and start up, and plant maintenance exposure would be an asset
