Position Description:

Job Responsibilities:

As a direct report to the Manager of General Accounting, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accounts contained in the corporate headquarters general ledger. Specific responsibilities of the Senior Accountant can change over time to provide proper work balance within the department. Current responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Reconcile and analyze selected general ledger accounts

· Reconcile and analyze selected intercompany accounts

· Accountable for the overall reconciliation between ADP and SAP GL

· Monitor corporate payroll for validity and accuracy, including preparing cash reconciliation

· Prepare and record journal entries for payroll and employee benefits, including monthly accrual entries

· Prepare financial analysis to ensure payroll information is accurately and properly reflected in the accounting system in a timely manner

· Assist corporate and field controllers with payroll accounting related questions

· Reconcile employee benefits including 401k, medical, dental and bonus

· Prepare various SAP journal entries, including prior month financial reporting system topside adjustments

· Provide assistance with various accounting related projects including SOX processes and procedures, accounting process workflows or financial system related

· Interact with internal and external auditors

· Cross-train with other corporate accounting functions

· Assist with special projects as assigned by manager

· Perform non-functional currency transactions, i.e. intercompany payable and receivable transactions including revaluation of balances, ensuring conformity to GAAP and Flowserve policies

Position Requirements:


· Bachelors degree in accounting required, CPA certification preferred

· 4 to 7 years professional accounting experience

· Two to three years of multinational accounting experience

· Experience with publicly traded company a plus

· Public Accounting experience a plus

· Excellent analytical abilities, communication and interpersonal skills

· Excellent PC skills including Windows, Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel

· Must be process and goal driven, customer oriented, results oriented, self-motivated

· Previous experience working with BPC, Blackline and SAP General Ledger preferred

· High degree of knowledge related to GAAP

· Ability to work overtime
