Flowserve Corporation Manager, Quality Assurance in Irving, Texas

Position Description:

Quality Leader for site or regional operations and will be responsible for site QA/QC program(s) and will play an active leadership role in highly engineering manufacturing or repair facilities. This individual must have a proven track record of leadership in the quality function within the industrial manufacturing or repair organizations.

Accountabilities

  • Drive business philosophies, perspectives, imperatives, and leadership expectations to enable site and culture transformation.

  • Establish, implement and maintain the Quality Management System..

  • Assure compliance to systems and procedures (e.g. ISO 9001, API Q1, ASME, welding, nuclear, Global FLS Policies and procedures) including federal, state and country regulations.

  • Assure the quality assurance team operates in full compliance with the Quality Management System and quality plans,

  • Ensures quality support to all functional processes needed from the point of quotation to the final delivery

  • Align Quality Performance reporting to the Balanced Score Card for the facility or region.

  • Support on supplier qualification and evaluation process

  • Facilitate and support audits by external agencies and Customers.

  • Staff, organize and develop the Quality Team to meet site and Platform level goals

  • Recruit, retain, manage and develop subordinate associates to ensure a well-qualified and highly motivated department.

  • Monitor and report quality performance (internal, customer, supplier) and help identify areas of needed improvement.

  • Define quality systems and continuously refine and improve systems to achieve desired results.

  • Support on supplier qualification and evaluation process

  • Support departments in data and root cause analysis using problem solving tools.

  • Provide development opportunities, guidance, training and assistance to quality assurance and quality control personnel.

  • Maintain a skill and development plan for all site and regional quality personnel.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

  • The individual should have a minimum of 8-10 years of quality experience in a highly engineered product environment preferred.

  • Quality Management Systems consistent with the context of ISO 9001, ASME experience

  • Proven leadership skills – team building, collaborating, presentation skills, strategic and innovative thinker, and self starter with a high energy level.

  • Auditing experience in Quality Systems or equivalent

  • Lean and/or Six Sigma certification is desired.

  • Communicates effectively with internal/external stakeholders in a Matrix Organization

  • Fluency in English is desired

Preferences:

LOCATION CAN BE AT ANY FLS PUMP (FPD) LOCATION IN THE US OR EUROPE.

OTHER LOCATIONS MAY BE CONSIDERED DEPENDING ON PROXIMITY TO FPD LOCATIONS.
