Position Description:

Responsible for leading the team that administers the sales compensation/sales performance management (SC/SPM) system for all global selling teams, including: collaborating with regional sales leaders for new-hire setup/termination via SC/SPM system (Xactly); project managing creation of global quotas annually; updating logic, named relationships and indirect crediting within the SC/SPM system throughout the year; administering periodic Sales Incentive Plan (SIP) quota payouts; managing the global Sales Performance Incentive Fund (SPIF) program; overseeing global quota changes throughout the year; and preparing SIP analytics dashboards, periodic reports and other ad hoc reporting as requested / needed by the global leadership team. The candidate’s experience should include familiarity with the top SC/SPM vendors (Xactly, CallidusCloud (SAP), Optymyze, Anaplan, etc.) sufficient to conduct an annual review/benchmark of the SC/SPM system in conjunction with HR around the effectiveness of the global SIP in reaching organizational goals.

Position Requirements:

Accountabilities:

This position will be responsible for administering the SC/SPM processes globally, which include (but are not limited to) the following tasks:

  • Partnering with HR in an annual review/evaluation of the SIP and SC/SPM system to ensure Flowserve is yielding the highest return on its investment in sales compensation

  • Ensuring all Sales Incentive Plans are in compliance with the sales incentive program

  • Setup and maintenance of the global sales teams’ information within the SC/SPM system

  • Routing all sales incentive documents (SIP Letters, Quota Changes, etc.) via SC/SPM Xactly system for approval and tracking

  • Required periodic analytics and reporting, such as payout files, attainment / performance reporting, as well as global ad hoc reporting requests

  • System training – will provide an overview of the SC/SPM system for all new hires as well as current employees who need assistance navigating to see their pay and performance information

  • Monthly validation processes in SC/SPM system to ensure accuracy prior to calculating payouts

  • Processing payout files to local payroll teams while ensuring calculations are auditable

  • Ensuring quota change requests maintain the overall integrity aligned with the operations bookings plans

  • Administration of all Special Incentive Programs (e.g. SPIF’s)

  • Develop custom / ad hoc analytics and reports to support leadership teams in identifying eading/lagging indicators and to facilitate the quota setting process

  • Continually identify process improvements and prioritize based on sales leadership input

Requirements:

  • B.S. Degree in business, finance, human resources, compensation or related field

  • 5+ years of experience with Sales Compensation/Sales Performance Management program and system design, administration or execution

  • Strong excel skills

  • Strong systems aptitude: requires the ability to pick up and learn new systems and processes very quickly

  • Works well in a team environment

  • Sound problem-solving skills

  • Strong interpersonal capabilities and ability to work cross-functionally with others

  • Global / cultural awareness and sensitivity

  • Proven ability to work in a matrix organization
