As a direct report to the Manager of Corporate Accounting, the Accounting Senior will be primarily responsible for the preparation of equity, debt, share-based compensation accounting and reporting schedules included in footnotes, research and documentation of complex and non-routine transactions for equity, and employee compensation plans including restricted stock. Other responsibilities include analyzing monthly financials and reconciling selected general ledger accounts.
Specific responsibilities of the Accounting Senior include, but are not limited to:
Strong knowledge of GAAP with specific knowledge of ASC718
Willingness to research and review complex accounting areas as needed
Account for all equity, debt and share-based compensation activities
Perform and ensure conformity to GAAP for equity and employee compensation plans
Support the monthly general ledger and financial reporting close process
Provide financial support and ad hoc analysis to departmental and senior management
Prepare various SAP ERP and BPC journal entries
Assist Financial Reporting function with financial data for SEC disclosures related to share-based compensation plans equity and EPS
Assist FP&A with forecast and budget related to shares-based compensation plans expense as well as outstanding shares
Assist Tax and Legal Department with schedules, analysis and explanations related to employee share-based compensation plans for annual proxy reporting
Develop and maintain SOX controls for assigned responsibilities
Cross train with other corporate accounting functions
Assist with General Ledger Shared Service tasks maintaining the Corporate general ledger
Interaction with internal and external auditors
Assist with special projects as assigned by the Manager and or Director of Corporate Accounting.
Qualifications:
Required:
BA in Accounting or Finance
CPA
Strong financial background with 5-7 years of progressive, relevant experience
Self-motivated, proactive and efficient worker with high standards for quality and meeting deadlines
Detail oriented individual able to work independently and ability to work overtime
Excellent PC skills including Windows, Microsoft Office products
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
Comfortable interfacing with operational and financial leadership
Preferred:
Certified equity professional (CEP) certification or Public Accounting experience preferred
Knowledge of SAP ERP, Winshuttle, Blackline or SAP Business Planning & Consolidation preferred
Experience with publicly traded company a plus
MBA
This is a hybrid role located onsite in Irving, Tx.
