Flowserve Corporation Plant Controller in Kashiwazaki City, Japan

Position Description:

• The controller will be a vital team member of the operations’ management team

• He/she will work closely with the plant manager to manage the entire financial operation, strategies, accounting management, financial planning, cost controlling, policies & procedures, controls / SOX.

• The individual should have strong business acumen and commercial sense, working as a business partner to ensure sustained, profitable business growth

• Provide financial planning & analysis and all necessary financial reports to plant manager

• Coordinate and lead, with plant manager, cadence of business reviews and performance management for the plant

• Lead and participate in regular finance and business updates with Asia finance team

• Ensure financial information is reported in compliance with both US and local reporting requirements

• Lead annual budgeting and monthly rolling forecasting processes

Position Requirements:

• Fluent in Japanese (native level is preferred)

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting

• Minimum 6 years as Finance Manager/Controller in a multinational enterprise with deep cost accounting requirements

• 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment

• Demonstrated ability in all aspects of financial planning, accounting, cost control and analysis in an international

business environment

• Demonstrated capability managing teams

• Hands-on experience in budgeting process and financial analysis

• Knowledge of US GAAP & Local GAAP

• Highly analytical, commercially minded with strong financial judgment

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, potential to develop into strong leadership role with strong sense to

work as a business partner with senior management

• Strong in Excel skills are a must



Oracle experience - highly preferred
