Position Description:

Supporting the Newark Quick Response Centre through a business partnering relationship in all aspects of finance. Supervising a small team to ensure the delivery of local and global finance activity as required.

  • Full responsibility for the accurate and timely production of monthly management accounts.

  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations within strict timescales.

  • Forecasting future performance across P&L, Balance Sheet & Cash flow.

  • Supports organization financial objectives by providing financial analyses and recommendations.

  • Business Partnership with Plant Manager / Management Team.

  • Meets financial objectives through forecasting requirements, expenditures, analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.

  • Preparation of the annual budget in line with Corporate Requirements.

  • Audit Liaison for Year End Results and assistance with Statutory Reporting.

  • Manage, mentor and motivate the existing finance team.

  • Maintains accounting controls & compliance with Corporate Governance.

  • Financial Reviews based on Actual/Future Performance.

Position Requirements:

Qualified CIMA/ACCA

Minimum 2 Years Post Qualification Experience

Business Partnering within a manufacturing industry

Experience of leading a small team

Preparation of Management Accounts & Reporting,

Excellent numeracy and analytical skills with the ability to draw conclusions and develop recommendations

Strong written and oral communication skills

Working to tight deadlines in a pressurised environment

Commercial acumen

Works effectively as part of a team across the business

Motivated and displays initiative to achieve results,

Able to handle complex information whilst maintaining attention to detail,

Effective problem solving, works with others to achieve the best solutions

Good communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with a variety of individuals.

Good organisation and time management skills, able to manage multiple tasks to deadlines


Wide knowledge of financial systems and accounting techniques.

Systems Knowledge of the following:

  • Oracle,

  • SAP,

  • BPC,

  • Microsoft Office
