Role Summary:

The Production Supervisor is responsibleto ensure the smooth and systematic execution of work processes in support of mechanical seal repairs and assemblies at all work areas/cells while meeting quality standards and production schedules safely. He/She will be responsible for performance management on the shop floor and to ensure Safety, Health and Environmental requirements are fully complied with. He/She will have control of the shop and will be the custodian of it to ensure that the company’s assets; namely manpower, machines, and materials, are used safely and effectively in order to obtain maximum output and provide a quality product.

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Maintain a safe working environment by following and enforcing established safety policies, participating in the site safety committee and by driving the site’s safety maturity initiatives.

  • Effectively lead and develop employees to drive a performance culture that values follow-through, quality, and commitment.

  • Exhibit and promote Flowserve’s behaviors to coordinate and interface with Sales, Customer Service, Operations, Engineering, and customers as necessary, toward an environment that encourages teambuilding, decision-making, problem solving, and continuous improvements.

  • Maintain all areas of the shop interior and exterior using 6S principles.

  • Execute daily/weekly/monthly production plans and attend production meetings to participate in the generation process of daily production plans.

  • Achieve monthly and quarterly shipment, expense budget, and operating income plans. Must communicate all production roadblocks to achieving schedules and minimizing Past Due Backlog.

  • Lead corrective action requests and take initiatives outside direct area of responsibility to drive quality improvements in the organization.

  • Reduce scrap and rework by implementing non-conformance root cause analysis and corrective actions.

  • Drive the team to achieve blended On Time Performance (OTP) targets.

  • Train, develop and motivate the shop personnel to drive accountability and ownership, instill pride in work, respect, and sense of belonging in the workplace as well as insuring team members arecross trained with the different functions on the assembly/repair andshipping/receiving areas.

  • Perform other duties as required .

Responsibilities & Requirements:

  • HS Diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum 3+years industry-related experience

  • Minimum 6+months of leadership experience (Manager, Supervisor, Shop Lead, etc.…)

  • Ability tocommunicate in both written and spoken English

  • Good people managementskills

  • Ability to read and interpret machineand assembly drawings.

  • Strong understanding of assembly andmachine processes and procedures used in a manufacturing and repairenvironment.

  • Strong computer skills using Microsoftoffice applications.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Business orindustry-related)

  • Familiar with EPA and OSHAregulations.

  • Six Sigma / Lean manufacturingtraining / certification.

  • 1-year supervisory experience.

  • Knowledge of PRMS, Oracle, SharePoint,and other ERP systems.
