Be capable of setting up, calibrating, and utilizing applicable NDT equipment for the methods in which qualified.
Be responsible for NDT operations in which qualified, assigned, and should be capable of interpreting and evaluating results in terms of existing codes, standards, and specifications.
Ensuring strict adherence to industrial safety and health guidelines and the internal radiation safety program.
Have some practical background in applicable materials, fabrication, and product technology to choose applicable techniques.
Have the ability to prepare NDT reports and other work documents in a timely and accurate manner.
Understands and utilizes safe work practices.
Verify Shop Route Cards to the appropriate Quality Plan requirements taking into consideration shop processes.
Ability to read and interpret part and casting drawings.
Transport parts and material via fork trucks and cranes, as required
Minimum of a High School Diploma plus documented classroom and/or on the job NDT training in two methods.
Must meet the requirements of ASNT SNT-TC-1A Level II Certifications and/or be able to certify in two NDT methods within one year of hire.
Have the ability to read and follow written NDT work instructions, analyze and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, etc.
Individual must be extremely detail oriented.
Have the ability to communicate both verbally and written in a clear and concise manner.
Microsoft Office Suite experience (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point).
Experience with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code section I, III, V, or VIII.
NDT Level II certification in either PT or MT methods.
