Role and Scope
The QRC trainer is responsible for the training of the shop team ( supervisors, DCIQ assemblers, inspectors and repair advisors) on how to apply the Implemented working procedures according the latest revision of the QRC model, being the DCIQ Cell, inspection and assembly activities. His/her responsibilities includes the training on the methodology and procedures around quality, effective execution and processing of any DCIQ portion of the project after the DCIQ Supermarket is given the ready signal on any project (Urgent or not). The use of applicable order and inspection documents, records and procedures as well as the essence of Coordination with the front office teams in the Service and Repair Units.
In addition to the DCIQ cell tasks , assembly, and execution of the inspection of incoming goods.
The QRC Trainer reports to the Operational Excellence.
The QRC Training Specialist will be responsible for the following key accountabilities :
-Facilitate QRC shop training courses in the field of applying the procedures and working processes according to the latest revision of te QRC model
-Deliver various combinations of classroom and hands-on instruction.
-Perform assessments of the participant’s knowledge and skills level.
-Support the development of the training curriculum based on the outcome of the knowledge and skills assessments.
-Assist in the development of training materials and documents as needed.
-Act as a subject matter expert for the materials development group when required.
-Work closely with your manager to define and agree upon program competence standards, recommended working processes and procedures to ensure the most efficient and effective training.
-Establish and maintain close working relationships with other internal departments and functions to promote the best interests of Flowserve Corporation.
-Continuously monitor progress and provide regular feedback to your manager in favor of Educational Services.
-Work closely with your manager to define and agree on program updates and improvements as required.
-Effectively introduce the Dismantle-Clean-Inspection process activities, of any pump (Repair or Upgrade) in local a QRC with the mission of transferring te knowledge effectively to meet company objectives and policies related to Cost and Cost Reduction, Quality, On time Delivery, CIP, Cash flow, HSE. Explain, help define and monitor department Key Performance Indicators to ensure company Goals are met.
-Manage the implementation and use of appropriate reporting and operating systems (SCP/AMP, and other applicable FLS systems), manufacturing and quality processes.
-Support the implementation of short and long term department plans, including personnel (skill matrix development, role changes) and tooling/equipment required to continuously improve the Cell in line with the Global QRC Upgrade model
- Provide expertise in solving quality related problems. Report deviations of production through Non Conformity Reports (NCR's and CAR's). Immediately initiate and evaluate corrective actions and verify effectiveness of the long term solutions.
-Train the DCI coordinator to define the proposed Repair Scope and detail Routing, provide all required information for the Quotation in a timely manner using the appropriate systems.
- Provide support for change, motivate direct reports to challenge established work processes collaboratively in order to continuously improve methods and skills.
-Train, drive, inspire and align the team to high performance by setting example in rigorous commitment to the targeted KPIs and objectives aligned with the management of the QRC.
- Facilitate training courses and programs in the field of centrifugal pumps and mechanical seals operation, maintenance and trouble shooting.
-Deliver various combinations of classroom and hands-on instruction.
-Support the development of the training curriculum based on the outcome of the knowledge and skills assessments. Assist in the development of training materials and documents.
-Act as a subject matter expert for the materials development group as required.

Requirements, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
-Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
-Fluent in Local language (Spanish/Portuguese) and English language. Good Oral and written communication skills.
-3-5 years of experience in machining and assembly of engineered components
-Working experience within a rotating equipment environment
-Thorough understanding of the mechanical aspects of pumps and mechanical seals
-Thorough understanding of pump installation and operation and knowledge of Flowserve pump and seal products.
-Basic knowledge of process machinery typically used in power plants, refineries, chemical plants, pipelines, mining facilities, pharmaceutical plants, and water distribution facilities.
-Ability to provide a learning atmosphere to Shop technicians of technical backgrounds
-Good oral and written communication skills ∙ Ability to handle a substantial workload
-Willingness to travel up to 70%.
-Computer literature – working knowledge of using e-mail, the internet
-Good people skills
