Position Requirements:

l Assist attorneys in research activities and in the preparation of various legal documents.

l Handle arbitration/litigation cases including commercial disputes, labor disputes etc.

l Responsible for maintaining and updating corporate files, contract files and case files, including various company secretarial documents, certificates, board resolutions, AOA etc.,

l Act as primary point of contact with outside vendors.

l Changing and custody of company stamps;

l Support legal counsel on some tailored programs and update of the local legal policies when necessary;

l Closely cooperate with various internal teams (HR, Ethics, business teams, operation teams, Security, Finance, etc.) on legal risk control, entity governance issues and resolve routine legal questions under the direction of Legal Counsel.

l Monitor changes of laws, regulations and government guidelines with a main focus on employment law. Submit reports on pertinent changes.

l Meet with local authorities regarding corporate affairs such as annual review of the Company’s business license, increase of capital investment, expansion of business scope, entity/branch/QRC setup or deregistration;

l Translate agreements and other documents with accuracy and efficiency;

l Company chop and certificate custody for entities in Shanghai area

l Responsible for the administrative affairs of legal department, such as daily work scheduling, travel, tickets, hotel booking, reimbursement application, etc.;

l Ad hoc tasks.

l Demonstrates excellent supporting skills;

l Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, must be comfortable communicating with a diverse group of contacts across the company, including senior management and business leaders as well as international colleagues.

l Ability to exercise judgment, initiative and discretion on sensitive matters.

l Knowledge of legal research skills.

l Good communications skill and high proficiency in both written and spoken English and Mandarin is a MUST;

l Relevant computer software knowledge and experience, proficient in MS Office;

l Must be able to compose correspondence quickly and accurately;

l University degree or equivalent qualifications majored in Law or English;

l Above 2 years inhouse paralegal experience is desired; In house paralegal experience in a wholly foreign owned company is a plus.

Position Description:

To act as the assistant to legal team within APAC region in providing administrative and junior professional legal assistance in various respects (especially employment law).
