The Regional SupplyChain Manager leads the site supply chain teams within the defined region (orbusiness sector) as named by their Platform; typically, 3-6 teams. They are akey member of the Platform Supply Chain leadership team and links the market andproduct strategies for their sites with the Flowserve global supply chainstrategies to support business growth. They have overall responsibility of their region/sector supply chainoperational performance in terms of measures such as supplier OTD, cost reduction,supplier quality, etc. They also assumefunctional responsibility for all site supply chain teams within their namedregion; even for those not directly reporting to them.
Regional Supply Chain Management for the FPD APAC region – Lead a group of site supply chain leaders as wellas coordinate with Regional FPD Supply Chain Managers across the globe tosupport the Low Cost Country suppliers shipping to other regions.
Responsibilities & Requirements:
Drive business philosophies, perspectives, behaviors andleadership expectations per Flowserve 2.0 to enable supply chain and companytransformation.
Drive the site procurement objectives and implementingdevelopment and improvement plans to meet and exceed the goals set.
Drive and execute Annual Operating Plan andMetrics for regional platform scope Drive, coordinate and implement viaCategory leads and cross functional teams sourcing strategies for majorcommodities with global/regional and site alignment
Leadership and strategic direction of Regionalteam to meet organization objectives
Lead and promotes team collaboration anddevelopment plans
Mentor/Train the site supply chain teams andLCS teams on Supply Chain/category Management Skills/Practices. Energize andempower the work teams with adequate controls
Manage Regional supply chain resources toaddress and resolve platform critical issues. Cross Functional and Regional Collaboration
Ensure robust and timely cross functionalcommunication and collaboration on all key accountabilities and objectives(GMs / Directors, Global Supply Chain)
Support the communication and implementationof the global standard process adherence, compliance, ethics.
Implement and execute the sourcing plan.
Ensure that the performance of the supplychain is in line with the expectation of the business needs in terms of POManagement, OTD etc.
Drive operational excellence (PWC, OTD, PDBL,etc.), cost containment (cost reduction, meeting the AOP planned savings, etc.)and transformation initiatives (ISTP).
Collaborate with the Platform Leadership todevelop site procurement plans to meet the needs of the business.
Collaborate with the global supply chain teamsto ensure the needs of the sites are reflected in global strategy, sourcingplans and supplier performance improvement projects
Propose business cases, withsavings/investments & ROI calculations as and when required for criticalprojects.
Facilitate and manage the integration of theglobal supply chain functions with the sector.
Maintain close interface with other RegionalSupply Chain Managers and standardize the processes across the enterprise.
Drive supplier rationalization and volume consolidationto suppliers
Develop short-and long-term vision andstrategic plans for regional supply chain
Integrate SC strategies and initiatives withplatform strategic plans with the Global FPD Supply Chain and the CorporateSupply Chain function
Establish competitive advantage throughidentification and generation of cost reduction strategies.
Maintain an active role in developing anddefining sourcing roadmaps to anticipate, apply, adapt or develop technologiesfor product introduction, quality and performance criteria to meet current andfuture demands support the customers ever changing needs
Category Strategy andMarket Analysis:
Develop and deploy comprehensive best costsourcing strategies with the help of low cost sourcing to support the APACregion and the other regions
Map current and future sourcing strategies inorder meet target market level pricing/lead times.
Develop influential relationships withassigned customers at all levels, and provide specific sourcing strategies, credibility,plans and actions that differentiate us from our competitors
Preferred Experience / Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, ora related field;
1 5 + years of experiencein Supply Chain Management in Global Multinational Companies ; Category Management/Supply Chain Experience at Regional/GlobalLevel of 8 to 10 years including supplier identifying anddevelopment, as well as procurement; 7+ years of experience leading a team inAPAC region.
The ideal candidate would have experience inmanaging across the APAC region and interacting in a global team
Experience in Technical aspects of FoundryCastings , OSM , Forgings and Fabrications, motors, instruments preferred
This person will be based in Suzhou, China.Leading a team of 5 to overall management of the relationship with the definedsuppliers and identify suppliers in APAC region .
Strong strategic leaderwith excellent communication and interpersonal skills with veryfluent oral English and Mandarin; good influencing and high level stakeholdermanagement capability.
