The Sales Specialistsmain role is to support the regional direct and distribution sales channelswith a primary focus on delivering disproportionate organic growth across thePump Aftermarket disciplines across their assigned sales region. The currentspecialty focus is Pump Upgrades, Parts and Repairs at targeted customerswithin the assigned region.
This position will workclosely with regional end user sales engineers, sales managers, distributionsales teams, product management, corporate communications, engineering, andoperations as appropriate.
This individual will beexpected to cope with evolving and changing priorities as the definition of Specialistsand the role they play will change as Flowserve continues to grow throughacquisition
and organic growth.
This position will be responsible to provide effective Sales
Support for regional Pump Aftermarket opportunities and to assure attainment of
targeted Sales Objectives. Duties will include but are not limited to the
Meet and/or exceed sales targets for the Pump Aftermarket
team and/or exceed other defined Sales Support objectives for the territory
Identify and define business development opportunities
within the assigned Region. Use analytics to prepare plans which assist our
teams in securing the business
Provide input to the proposal process and develop strategies
to ensure we make the most competitive technical and commercial offerings.
Support Management in the settlement of warranty disputes
and field problems.
Develop and implement business development “programs” and
sales strategies with the Sales team and Operations to grow the business
Maintain good relationships with Customers and Company’s
personnel to ensure continued Market Growth.
Routinely report activities to Management on all pertinent
issues related to market changes through use of Monthly forecast, Weekly
reports, and other reports as may be directed.
Actively participate in and provide input into the product
development teams and support their initiatives.
Communicate effectively with operations, engineering,
customer service, and other personnel to ensure objectives are achieved.
Develop a proficient working knowledge of Flowserve's
products and services under your respective Specialty disciplines to serve as a
subject matter expert to both internal and external customers.
Industry: 5 - 10 years
Functional Experience: 5+ years of Technical Sales/ Business
Baseline foundation of knowledge of mechanical seals and
rotating equipment – preference for experience with Flowserve’s products and
Ability to independently identify and resolve project issues
Excellent team-building, problem-solving, and conflict
Enthusiastic, positive energy and motivated
Excellent presentation, oral, written communication, analytical
skills and proven proficiency in Microsoft office
