Flowserve is presently recruiting a Reliability Engineer to support our Innovation & Product Development initiatives reporting to the Director Application Development & Emerging Technologies.

This is an opportunity to take a lead role on supporting engineering design and consultancy activities on all aspects related to technical risks and reliability strategies. The Reliability Engineer will be part of a multidisciplinary team working on diverse projects, as well as supporting Reliability and Integrity Management programs on existing practices & facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the growth and development of the Reliability Engineering as a practice.

  • Implementing and executing Design for Reliability (DfR) process

  • Provide support to projects and operational teams by identifying technical risks and developing reliability studies for production/ processing systems and new product development.

  • Supporting design and development teams by developing, assessing, and verifying Reliability & Maintainability-related requirements for mission-critical product and systems

  • Develop reliability engineering studies to specific project requirements, including Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA); Reliability, Availability and Maintainability analysis (RAM); Technical Risk Categorization (TRC); Technology Readiness Level Assessment (TRL); Life Data Analysis; Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) and Life Cycle Cost (LCC); as well as other methodologies and techniques related to Reliability Analysis and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM).

  • Determine asset availability forecasting using applicable software.

  • Produce asset Reliability Performance reports and work with failure investigation teams on Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA).

  • Develop technical reports as necessary.

  • Liaise with other disciplines for applicable engineering interfaces.

Required Skills / Qualifications:

  • Engineering Degree, BS, MS Mechanical or Equivalent

  • Minimum 10-years professional experience.

  • Experience developing FMECA, RCM, TRC, TRL, RAM, and LCC studies as applicable.

  • Knowledgeable on RCFA and risk reduction initiatives associated with field failures.

  • Familiar with international codes and standards, including API (RP 17N / 17Q), ISO 14224, ISO 20815 and ASME to the extent required.

  • Familiar with technical and operational reliability requirements, including evaluation of novel technology initiatives and prototype qualification procedures.

  • Experience in the use and application of failure rate and reliability databases

  • Familiarity with industry known reliability and maintainability tools/software such as Reliasoft, Windchill, or Express to perform analyses.

  • Developing Reliability Allocations and Predictions (hardware and software), Maintainability Allocations and Predictions, Failure Modes, Effects & Criticality Analysis (FMECA), Testability Analysis, Failure Reporting Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS), Maintainability/Built-In Test (M/BIT) Demonstration

  • Supporting Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), Condition-Based Maintenance Plus (CBM+), and Integrated Health Management System (IHMS) programs

  • Planning and executing Reliability testing, e.g., Highly Accelerated Life Testing (HALT), Highly Accelerated Stress Screening (HASS), reliability growth testing (RGT)

  • Proven track record of program design, implementation, and management

  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25 % of time as and when required.

  • Working with industry standards and handbooks such as MIL-HDBK-217F (Reliability Predictions for Electronic Equipment), 217Plus, MIL-HDBK-470A (Designing and Developing Maintainable Products and Systems), MIL-HDBK-338B (Electronic Reliability Design Handbook), MIL-HDBK-454B (General Guidelines for Electronic Equipment), MIL-HDBK-781A (Reliability Test Methods), MIL-HDBK-2155 (FRACAS), MIL-HDBK-2165 (Testability Handbook), Software reliability per IEEE 1633-2016.

  • Broad knowledge of O&G production and processing equipment.
