Flowserve Corporation Technical Documentation Coordinator in Temecula, California

Position Description:

The Technical Documentation Coordinator will provide technical customer service to both internal and external customers, transforming customer requests about our mechanical seals into manufacturing specifications. The Technical Documentation Coordinator will generate part codes, create and load bills of materials in multiple business systems, monitor the loaded part codes into the system, and consult on best practices regarding business system navigation and operation.

Job duties include:

\t•\tLearn the variety of Flowserve products and internal work flows to manage the business system interactions between engineering, operations and sales.

\t•\tMaintain and upgrade the different aspects of the Flowserve part coding and bill of material systems.

\t•\tProcess engineering job orders by verifying data is complete and accurate on Flowserve’s internal Engineering Information System, before transferring information to multiple business systems, as well as issuing drawings to selected individuals and communicating changes as required.

\t•\tUtilize the documentation, training & information located on the Engineering Services SharePoint site to complete assigned projects and tasks.

\t•\tTroubleshoot and resolve data/structure problems using drawings, source documentation, and by checking with Engineers or drafters.

\t•\tProvide operational support to internal customers for all locations globally, including but not limited to adding and auditing part structure(s) in the business systems and providing support to the multiple operational departments.

\t•\tRespond to request for information and redirect questions as required to the correct resources.

\t•\tLearn and apply knowledge about Flowserve’s organization and products to increase the quality of assistance provided.

\t•\tManage drawings in Flowserve’s Imaging database, including manually adding information as well as correcting documents rejected by the automated processes.

\t•\tHelp automate tools to streamline processes within the engineering departments.

Position Requirements:

\t•\tExperience working in an office environment, especially with document management and data entry tasks

\t•\tSkilled in Microsoft Word and Excel, with an ability to adapt and learn new systems.

\t•\tHigh School Diploma or G.E.D. required. AA Degree or other additional education highly valued .

\t•\tAbility to prioritize daily tasks to meet deadlines.

\t•\tCapable of taking personal ownership to complete tasks, investigate problems and resolve issues

\t•\tGood organizational skills to maintain electronic files and documents with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

\t•\tCommunicates clearly for accuracy and understanding and communicates professionally to have a positive impact on customers and co-workers.

\t•\tSelf-motivated individual possessing the ability to work independently as well as collaborate with others as part of a team.

\t•\tDemonstrated track record of reliability, strong work ethic and competency at evaluating & entering data.

\t•\tKnowledge of process improvement (LEAN preferred) desirable
